The Faratel Isolated Transformer is a device whose main function is to create complete isolation between the input phase/null and the outlet phase/null and eliminate Common Mode noise, and it is also possible to install in an electrical isolation form in medical applications, in which case the outlet null will not be connected to the earth.
The isolated transformer device has the ability to connect to the output of Faratel UPS. In summary, the benefits of using isolated transformers in the UPS output are as follows:
Significant reduction of Common Mode Noise in the UPS output, which allows the UPS to be used with noise-sensitive equipment. By using an isolated transformer, it is possible to connect the outlet nozzle to the earth and thus the common mode noise is filtered.
Ability to feed loads that transiently draw DC currents from the UPS.
The possibility of removing the limitations of the electricity distribution network, which in some areas causes the voltage of the nozzle to increase compared to the earth and causes disruption in sensitive equipment.
Despite the advantages of using an isolated transformer in the UPS output, the use of an isolated transformer also causes some limitations, the most important of which is the reduction of the quality of the output waveform in feeding computer loads, occupying space, and reducing the output efficiency, but the Faratel transformers are designed in such a way that these limitations have been eliminated significantly. In terms of space occupancy, insulated transformers can be installed in the rack as well as under the UPS, in which case it only increases the height and does not occupy any space.
